Deskati [3] ( Greek Δεσκάτη [2] ) is a small town in Greece , the southernmost city in Macedonia . Located at an altitude of 866 meters above sea level [1] , between the mountains of Kamvuniya and Hasiya , 277 kilometers northwest of Athens , 129 kilometers southwest of Thessaloniki , 42 kilometers south of Kozani , 32 kilometers to southeast of Grevena and 32 kilometers northwest of Elasson . The administrative center of the community of the same name (Dima) in the peripheral unit of Grevena in the periphery of Western Macedonia . The population of 3508 inhabitants according to the 2011 census [2] . Residents are predominantly employed in agriculture.
