Biography
Born December 10, 1920 in Moscow. In 1941 he was mobilized into the army in connection with the beginning of the Second World War and went through the whole war. After demobilization in 1945 he entered the screenwriting department of VGIK , which he graduated in 1950. In 1950, he joined the film studios Mosnauchfilm and TSSDF as a screenwriter, since then he wrote a lot of scripts for popular science films, and also had experience as a director. It is also one of the creators of space film chronicle.
Personal life
Vladimir Kapitanovsky in 1947 married Raisa Tumorina ( June 30, 1923 - 2007 ), the future cinematographic director and fellow student (graduated from the VGIK Faculty of Operators). In this marriage, they had a son, Maxim Kapitanovsky ( July 26, 1948 - September 14, 2012 ), an artist of various genres, died of cancer. After the loss of two people close to him, Vladimir Evgenievich was very worried about this and still cannot recover from his grief.
