Liaudona ( Latvian. Ļaudona , in other Russian sources - Levduna ) - settlement in the Madona region of Latvia . The administrative center of Liaudon parish . It is located on the River Ayviekste at the regional road P82 ( Jaunkalsnava - Lubana ). The city of Madona is about 18 km away [1] .

According to the data for 2017, 553 people lived in the village [2] . There is a volost administration, a secondary school, a kindergarten, a library, a house of culture, a post office, the Orthodox Church of John the Baptist (1863).
History
In 1274, the Archbishop of Riga built the Latgale Fortress on the River Ayviekste at the mouth of Svetupe. During the Livonian War, the fortress was destroyed [3] .
In Soviet times, the village was the center of the Liaudon village council of the Madona region . In the village was the central estate of the farm named after Kirov [1] .
