Biography
Born on August 4, 1937 in the village of Drozdovitsa, Gorodnyansky district, Chernihiv region of the Ukrainian SSR, in a peasant family. Ukrainian.
Until 1959 he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army.
Since 1959 he worked at the Dnieper Titanium-Magnesium Plant (later - Zaporizhzhya Titanium-Magnesium Plant; the city of Zaporozhye of the Ukrainian SSR): a student of a chlorinator (in 1959-1960), a chlorinator (since 1960), a perch, foreman of the perch workshop No. 2. He graduated from the school of working youth.
Constantly sought to improve production and technological processes, repeatedly won prizes in labor competitions, actively participated in the rationalization movement, engaged in mentoring.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 19, 1986 for the early fulfillment of the tasks of the eleventh five-year plan, his great personal contribution to the development of the titanium-magnesium and semiconductor industry and the shown heroism of labor, Bogma Vladimir Yakovlevich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Sickle and Gold Medal Hammer".
He continued to work at the Zaporizhzhya Titanium-Magnesium Plant until his retirement. He devoted 49 years of his life to the company.
