Biography
Evgeny Sergeevich Getsold was born on September 26, 1924 in Tyumen.
In 1941, after graduating from high school, he was drafted into the ranks of the Soviet Army and sent to the Orenburg Tank School. After his graduation went to the front. He fought on the Belarusian and First Ukrainian Front, was the commander of a tank platoon. In Poland he was wounded, lost his right arm. Demobilized in the rank of "senior lieutenant" [1] [2] .
In 1946-1947 he was a champion of the Tyumen region and the city of Omsk in ski racing, the champion of the ski race of Siberia and the Far East.
In 1946 he entered the Omsk State Medical Institute. Kalinin , who graduated in 1953.
From 1954 to 1959 he was a lecturer at the Department of Sports Medicine and Hygiene of the Omsk State Institute of Physical Culture , from 1959 to 1965 - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, from 1965 to 1968 - Vice-Rector for Research [3] [4] .
In 1966 he defended his thesis on the topic “Study of the state and interrelation of physical development and some motor functions in school-age children in Omsk” and received a degree in medical sciences [5] .
From 1968 to 1976 he worked as the rector of the Khabarovsk Institute of Physical Culture [6] .
He was a member of the first Council of Rectors of the Khabarovsk Territory, in which he headed the section of physical education, sports and everyday life of students [7] . He was also the chairman of the Omsk Regional Federation of Ski Sports.
In 1976 he moved with his family to Omsk, where he continued work as an associate professor at the department of hygiene at the Omsk State Institute of Physical Culture.
He died in 1997.
