Deskati ( Greek Δήμος Δεσκάτης [2] ) is a community (dim) in Greece . Included in the peripheral unit Grevenu in the periphery of Western Macedonia . The population is 5852 inhabitants according to the 2011 census [2] . The community area is 431.638 square kilometers [1] . Density - 13.56 people per square kilometer [2] . The administrative center is Descati . In 2014, Dimitrios Carasterierios ( Δημήτριος Καραστέργιος ) was elected Dimarch at the local elections.

In 2010, under the Kallikratis program , the abolished Hasiya community was added to the Descati community [3] .
