Club career
Sinton made his first steps in football at school, speaking for the England national team until the age of 15. At the end of school, the player signed Cambridge United . He made his debut for the club on November 2, 1982 in the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the age of 16 years and 228 days, becoming the youngest player in the history of the championship [2] . After that, Andy managed to break John Ruddy's record.
In 1985, a Brentford player signed for £ 25,000. After spending 149 matches in the club over four years and scoring 28 goals, he moved for £ 350,000 to Queens Park Rangers , coached by Trevor Francis . December 28, 1992 issued a hat-trick in a match against Everton , which ended with a score of 4: 2 [3] . In the summer of 1993, Sheffield Wensday paid £ 2.75 million to the CRC for a player, making it the most expensive transfer in club history [4] . He spent two and a half years in the club, after which he returned to London in early 1996, where he signed a contract with Tottenham Hotspur . After Tottenham Hotspur, Andy played for Wolverhampton Wanderers , Burton Albion , Bromsgrove Rovers and Fleet Town from 1999 to 2004. In 2007, he completed his career as a player.
Team Career
In November 1991, Sinton made his debut for England. The match with the Polish national team, which became the first for a football player, ended in a draw with a score of 1: 1. He took part in two matches of the group stage of the 1992 European Championship (against France and Sweden ) [6] . The last match for the national team was held as part of the final match of the qualifying round of the 1994 World Cup against the national team of Malta, which ended in a crushing victory with a score of 7: 1 [7] . Andy also played 3 matches for England’s second national team [6] .
Coaching career
In the summer of 2005, Sinton became a trainer for the Fleet Town Isthmian League club, having spent the previous season as a club development officer [8] . May 26, 2010 it became known that the new club Andy became “ Telford United ” from the Northern National League [9] . In its first season, the team became the silver medalist of the championship, due to which it got into the playoffs, after which it won it and entered the National League [10] . In the next season, the club, two rounds before the end of the championship, secured the preservation of residence in the league for the next season [11] . On January 31, 2013, it was announced that Sinton left Telford United by mutual agreement of the parties in the club’s worst 16-match streak without a win. [12]
