The 31st Nika National Cinemas Awards Ceremony for 2017 was held on April 1, 2018 in the Vegas City Hall ( Crocus City , Krasnogorsk , Moscow Region ) [1] . Laureates of special awards and nominees in competitive categories were announced at a press conference on March 6, 2018 [2] .

The dramatic tape of Boris Khlebnikov's “ Arrhythmia ”, nominated for a prize in 7 nominations, was ultimately awarded 5 awards, winning in all major categories: best film, director, script, male and female leading roles. The award for Best Supporting Actor was shared by two actors: Sergey Garmash for his role in the military drama Cold Tango and Vladimir Ilyin , who embodied the image of Sergei Korolyov in the film Time of the First .

Special Prizes
- This year, the winner of the prize in the nomination “ Honor and Dignity ” named after Eldar Ryazanov was Vladimir Abramovich Etush (the award was presented by Rimas Tuminas ) .
- The Academy Council decided to award the prize " For Contribution to Cinematographic Sciences, Criticism and Education " to the St. Petersburg Institute of Cinema and Television , which turned 100 in 2018 [3] (the award was presented by Victor Merezhko ) .
- The film “ Peter Leshchenko. All that was ... " ( dir. Vladimir Kott ) - For creative achievements in the field of television cinema (the award was presented by Nikolai Dostal ) .
- Also at the ceremony, for the first time, a special prize of the Academy Council “Step into the Future” was awarded, the award was received by the founder of Digital Reporter Anton Kalinkin for the development and promotion of web-series (the award was presented by Alexander Akopov ) [4] .
