Club career
Araujo is a graduate of the Mirasol and Sao Paulo clubs. In 2016, in order to get a game practice, Luis played for Gremio Novorizontino on loan. On June 5 of the same year, in his match against Cruzeiro , he made his debut in the Brazilian Serie A as part of São Paulo [2] . On November 5, in a duel against Corinthians , Louis scored his first goal for the team [3] .
In the summer of 2017, Araujo moved to the French Lille . The transfer amount amounted to 10.5 million euros. On August 6, in his match against Nantes , he made his debut in League 1 [4] . On October 14, in a duel against Troyes , Louis scored his first goal for Lille [5] .
