History
According to local historians, the name of the village comes from trading people who came to Moscow from the southwestern lands of Russia and went to work . They stayed here before entering Moscow [1] .
Under Soviet rule, land for building began to be distributed in Chobot, the first to receive it were the residents of the village of Fedosino . In 1920-1930, workers in Moscow factories and factories, who were given housing here, began to settle in Chobotov dachas. At some dachas, state institutions opened. In the houses of landowner Leonov, a tuberculosis dispensary and a sanatorium were opened. Now in this territory is located a car repair shop and private property. At the cottage of the manufacturer Lyudkevich, an orphanage was opened to them. Savelyeva, closed in the mid-1960s.
After the decree on universal compulsory primary education, an elementary school was opened in one of the cottages. Before the war , a two-story brick building was built, which opened on September 1, 1941.
In 1946, the Writer's Town was included in Chobot, which in 1983, when Chobot became part of Moscow, was transferred to the line of the newly formed Michurinets DSK [2] .
On May 22, 1984, the summer cottage settlement along with other settlements was included in Moscow, forming a new district - Solntsevsky [3] [4] . September 12, 1991, as a result of the division of the Solntsevsky district, the village of Choboty became part of the municipal district of Novo-Peredelkino .
