Ibragimov, Movsur Muslievich

Up to grade 4 he studied in his native village of Marzoy-Mokhk . He graduated from grades 8 at boarding school No. 8 in the village of Vedeno . In the same village he graduated from high school number 2. Then he served in the army. From December 1978 to July 1979 he was a student of the preparatory department of the Chechen-Ingush State University . During his studies, he was the released secretary of the Komsomol organization of the faculty.

After graduation, he worked as a teacher at the Chechen-Ingush State Pedagogical Institute . At the same time, he acted as secretary of the Komsomol committee of the institute. At the Pedagogical University, he successively held the positions of assistant, senior teacher, and then assistant professor of history at the Chechen-Ingush State Pedagogical Institute. In 1986 he entered graduate school. In 1989 he defended his thesis at Leningrad State University.

In 1995-1999 he was the head of the department of history of the named university. In 1999, at the Moscow State Pedagogical University, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the subject “Power and Society during the Great Patriotic War (on the example of the national republics of the North Caucasus)”. In 2000, he was awarded the title of professor.

Participant of various university, interuniversity and international conferences. Author of a number of books and monographs. Head of a two-volume publication on the history of Chechnya from ancient times to the present day. From May 20, 2004 to November 9, 2007 he was the Minister of the Chechen Republic for national politics, press and information ^[1] . As of the beginning of 2018, the head of the Department of Russian History at Chechen State University, the main research fellow at the Kh.I. Ibragimov KNII RAS, professor at the Department of Russian History at the Chechen State Pedagogical Institute, professor at Kunta-Khadzhi Kishiev Islamic State University.
