Alexander Stepanovich Kuzmin (b. 10.28.1948, the city of Grozny) - drill master of the Nizhnevartovsk UBR No. 1 PO Nizhnevartovskneftegaz, laureate of the USSR State Prize (1983).

He graduated from the Grozny Oil Institute (1976).
He worked in Nizhnevartovsk in UBR No. 1 of Nizhnevartovskneftegaz Production Association: assistant driller, directional drilling operator, assistant master (1978), drilling master (1981), from March 1983 to July 1984, chief engineer.
His team was the first among the pioneer teams of Western Siberia to reach annual output of 100 thousand meters and kept this line for several years due to the maximum reduction in downtime.
Winner of the USSR State Prize (1983) - for outstanding achievements in work, personal contribution to increasing the pace of oil and gas production.
