Vestiena ( Latvian: Vestiena ) is a settlement in the Madona region of Latvia . The administrative center of Vestiensky volost . It is located on the regional road P81 ( Berzaune - Vestiena - Erglie ). The city of Madona is about 25 km away [1] . Near Vestiena there are lakes Ilzins, Salas and Kala.

According to data for 2017, 320 people lived in the village [2] . There is a volost administration, an elementary school, a kindergarten, a community center, a library, an open-air stage, a post office, a feldsher point, a Lutheran church, a gas station, several shops and enterprises.
The surviving buildings of the Vestien estate (XVIII-XIX centuries) is an architectural monument of national importance [3] .

History
Previously, the village was the center of the estate of Vestien (Festen).
In Soviet times, the village was the center of the Vestiensky Village Council of the Madona District . In the village was the central estate of the Vestiena state farm [1] .
