Biography
Born on August 31, 1898 in Jalaloglu (now Stepanavan ). Member of the First World War , served on the Turkish Front from 1917 to 1919, then - in the Red Army. He graduated from acting school in Tiflis. Since 1923, he worked at the Yerevan Film Studio as an actor and assistant director, and since 1927 - as a director. In 1935 he moved to Moscow and entered the directing department of VGIK , which he graduated in 1937. In total, he took part in 11 films.
He died on January 13, 1948 in Yerevan.
