Sergei Ivanovich Rebrov ( February 9, 1929 - October 4, 2007 ) - specialist in microwave technology, Doctor of Technical Sciences (1974), professor, General Director of NPO Istok (1962-1988), General Designer of FSUE NPP Istok , Honorary Citizen of the city of Fryazino . Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation. Hero of Socialist Labor, Member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.

Biography
Sergei Ivanovich Rebrov was born on February 9, 1929 in the city of Kalinin (now Tver), in the family of statesman Ivan Pavlovich Rebrov . Since 1935, he lived with his family in the working village of Shchekino , now a city in the Tula region. In 1938, his father was appointed deputy chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the Kyrgyz SSR, and his family moved to the city of Frunze (now Bishkek ). There, in 1946, Sergei Ivanovich graduated from high school.
In 1946, Sergei Ivanovich entered the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI), where he graduated with honors in 1952, receiving a degree in electrical engineering. During his studies at MPEI, since 1948 he worked as a laboratory assistant at the Department of Microwave Electronic Devices (supervisor of MPEI I.V. Lebedev ) [1] [2] . After graduation, in 1952, was distributed to the company "mailbox number 17" (now the Scientific and Production Enterprise "Istok" ) in the city of Fryazino, Moscow Region. He worked all his life at this enterprise, occupying successively the following positions: engineer, head of laboratory (1953), head of department (1959), director (1962), general designer of NPP Istok (1988).
Under the direction of S. I. Rebrov, microwave generators for radar systems used in the S-300V, S-300P , and “Tor” anti-aircraft missile systems were created at the enterprise he leads, at the Bumblebee on-board radar station (BRLS) "Installed in the A-50 long-range radar reconnaissance aircraft, the Zaslon radar sighting system for MiG-31 fighter-interceptors, etc.
For outstanding services in the creation of new technology, by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 10, 1985, Sergei Ivanovich Rebrov was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Hammer and Sickle Medal.
Sergey Ivanovich Rebrov has 25 patents for inventions, is the author of about 200 scientific papers, including 2 monographs. Doctor of technical sciences, professor, S. I. Rebrov created a scientific school in the field of mathematical modeling, electrodynamics, computer-aided design of vacuum and solid-state microwave devices. On his initiative, a technical college at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute was opened in Fryazino, and S. I. Rebrov himself was the head of the department of this educational institution for many years (in 1990 he became a branch of MIREA) [3] .
Sergei Ivanovich Rebrov died on October 4, 2007 in Fryazino, and was buried in the cemetery of the village of Novofryazino [4] .

Memory
In the city of Fryazino, Moscow Region, a memorial plaque in honor of S. I. Rebrov was installed at house No. 12 on Institutskaya St., a bust was installed on the Heroes of Labor. The tennis tournament "S. I. Rebrov Memorial" is held annually in the city.
