Biography

Sergei Mikhailovich was born on November 25, 1950 in the village of Sokol, Dolinsky district , Sakhalin region . In 1971, after graduating from the fourth year of the Rostov State Medical Institute, he entered the military medical faculty at the Gorky Medical Institute in the department of training doctors for the navy, which he graduated in 1973 .

Sergey Mikhailovich Groshilin served from 1973 to 1980 as head of the medical service of a large submarine of the Red Banner Northern Fleet . S. M. Groshilin made three long trips lasting from nine to eleven months each, at sea he made seven abdominal operations.

Since 1980, the beginning of teaching activities. Sergey Mikhailovich served from a teacher at the Naval Department of the Rostov State Medical Institute to the head of the Department of Military and Extreme Medicine ( 1995 ). 2002 - 2009 - Head of the Department of Military Education, Rostov State Medical University .

At the 1 Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, he defended his Ph.D. and doctoral dissertation in the specialty "Aviation, Space and Marine Medicine."

Since 2002, the military training faculty was opened on the basis of the Department of Military and Extreme Medicine of the Rostov State Medical University , and it included the created department of disaster medicine of the military training faculty, which was also headed by S. M. Groshilin.

As the head of the medical service of the United Group of Forces (Forces) in the North Caucasus region of the Russian Federation, Sergei Mikhailovich was a participant in the hostilities to restore constitutional order in the Chechen Republic .
