The final of the 7th Lugano Cup - World Race Walking Cup was held on October 11-12, 1975 in Le Grand Quevilly , France . Men's teams fought for the Lugano Cup, which was awarded to the best team based on the results of calls at 20 and 50 km. For the first time during the tournament, women who competed out of the competition at a distance of 5 km were admitted to it.

Most of the strongest teams received direct admission to the finals. The remaining four places were played in the preliminary round of the Lugano Cup, which was held in various cities in September 1975.
109 walkers from 9 countries of the world (71 men and 38 women) took to the start.
Each team could put up to four athletes in each of the calls. In the offset of the Lugano Cup, each team had the best two results at distances of 20 and 50 km for men (points were awarded to athletes depending on the place taken).
The USSR team won their first victory in the Lugano Cup. The success was preceded by a series of three consecutive second places.
Evgeny Lyungin won the run at 50 km. In the future, not a single Soviet walker could repeat his success at the longest distance of the World Cup.

Preliminary Round
The preliminary round competitions were held in September 1975 in two cities: Danish Odense and Czechoslovak Steti . In the finals were two of the best teams from each tournament.
Men
The GDR, the USSR, Italy, France and the USA were exempted from participation in the preliminary round. All these countries received direct tickets to the finals.
