Adolf Fedorovich Gan ( est. Adolf Theodor Hahn , October 8, 1832, village of Uhor of the Yamburg County - August 1, 1914, Narva) - Russian engineer, public figure. The mayor of the city of Narva (1873-1877 and 1882-1884).

Biography
Born in the family of Friedrich-Bernhard-Theodor Hahn (03.21.1801, Neubrandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) and his wife Dorothea, nee Leizdorf (03.24.1804, Narva - 03.14.1874).
In 1851 he graduated with a gold medal and the title of Technological Engineer from the St. Petersburg Practical Technological Institute . Since 1855 he lived in Narva. He worked as the director of the Krenholm Manufactory Society.
The initiator of the transformation of the old fishing village of Hungerburg into a well-developed resort of Narva-Jõesuu (1873). The author of the Kurzal project (Kurgauz, 1882), which was built at his expense. He donated buildings for the parish school of the Jaanovskaya Church , the Narva City School and the Narva Gymnasium .
In 1875, on the initiative of Ghana, a staircase was built in Narva from the Old Town (from Koidula Street ) to the bridge over Narew ( Ghana staircase ) [1] .
Honorary Citizen of Narva (1878).
When organizing the Museum named after the spouses Lavretsov, Gan became the trustee of the museum [2] .
He was buried in the Bratskoye cemetery of the Northwest Army in Narva .
