Agrafa [3] [4] ( Greek Άγραφα [2] ) is a mountain village in Greece . It is located at an altitude of 1030 meters above sea level [1] on the slopes of Mount Agrafa , on the left bank of the Agrafiotis River, a tributary of Aheloos , 28 kilometers northwest of Karpenision , 61 kilometers north-east of Agrinion , 200 kilometers south West of Thessaloniki and 221 kilometers northwest of Athens . Included in the community of the same name (dim) in the peripheral unit of Euritania in the periphery of Central Greece . Population of 310 inhabitants according to the 2011 census [2] .

In 1836, Agrafa was the administrative center of the community of Kythos [5] . Kif ( dr. Greek. Κύφος ) - a city in the area of perbes ( Perrebia ) in the north of Thessaly [6] . Agrafa was the administrative center of the community of the same name in 1876-1912 [7] .
During the occupation of Greece by the Axis countries in 1942, the village was burned by Italians. Churches Agios Eiorios (St. George) and Kimisi Tis Teotoku (Assumption of the Virgin), built in 1610 and 1600, have survived from the old buildings.

The community was created in 1912 ( ΦΕΚ 261Α ) [7] . The local community of Agraf includes seven settlements. The population of 398 residents according to the 2011 census [2] . An area of 86.982 square kilometers [1] .
