Biography

In 1897 he graduated from the Vilna Infantry Junker School in the 2nd category, from where he was released as ensign in the 179th Ust-Dvinsk Infantry Regiment [1] . Produced by a second lieutenant on March 11, 1898 in the same regiment [2] .

On June 30, 1899 he was transferred to the 178th Infantry Regiment of Venden [3] . Produced on assignments on April 15, 1902 [4] . During the Russo-Japanese War , on March 4, 1905 he was transferred to the 158th Kutaisi Infantry Regiment [5] . On April 12, 1906, he was transferred back to the 178th Venden Infantry Regiment [6] . He was promoted to headquarters captain on September 20, 1906 [7] . On May 30, 1913 he was transferred to the 4th Finland Rifle Regiment [8] , and on November 21 of the same year he was promoted to captain [9] .

He entered the First World War in the ranks of the 4th Finland Rifle Regiment. Granted by St. George's Arms

 For the fact that in a battle near the village of Koziuvka at an altitude of 992, on January 29, 1915, commanding a company and dragging a part of the 7th company riflemen of the 2nd Finland Rifle Regiment, it knocked out the Germans from the trenches under deadly fire. Being seriously wounded, he left the system only after achieving full success. 

Awarded the Order of St. George 4th degree

 Because in the battle on May 15, 1915, personally leading a part of the combat area near Brigidau village, he won the enemy flank and rear, he quickly attacked him and thereby contributed to the overall success. During this enterprise, captured 18 officers, 650 lower ranks and 6 active machine guns. 

He was promoted to lieutenant colonel on October 17, 1915 " for differences in matters against the enemy, " and colonel on February 2, 1916. On August 1, 1916 - in the same rank and regiment.

During the Civil War, Major General Bar participated in the White Movement as part of the Armed Forces of Southern Russia and the Russian Army . From March 8, 1919, he was in the reserve of ranks at the headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief of the All-Union Union of Liberal Democratic Forces, in the fall of 1920 - the head of the Yalta military-administrative district before the evacuation of Crimea .

In exile by 1921 - chairman of the initiative group of the Russian National Union of Officers and Soldiers in Yugoslavia. In 1927 he was appointed representative of Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich in Latvia, in 1929 - in the same position. The further fate is unknown.
