Monique Frida Maria Kleinsman ( Dutch: Moniek Frida Maria Kleinsman ; born November 3, 1982 , Bentelo , Netherlands ) is a Dutch speed skater , two-time medalist in the team races of different stages of the World Cup in speed skating in the 2005/2006 and 2006/2007 season [2 ] . Participant in the 2006 Winter Olympics .

Biography
Monique Kleinsman was born in the village of Bentelo , Hof-van-Twente Municipality Overijssel . From childhood, she visited the rink every week with her family. From four to twelve years old she skated in short track, and after that she switched to speed skating. Received a medical education. March 22, 2012 announced the completion of a professional career, not least because of a back injury [3] . She worked as Ambassador of the Overijssel Youth Sports Fund. The Christian Democratic Party joined the party and in 2015 was a candidate for deputy in the elections to the Provincial Councils [4] . According to the election results, she received 492 votes and was elected [5] . In his activities, he is responsible for the development and popularization of sports in the province of Overijssel [6] .
Sports career
Kleinsman won the first gold medal at international competitions during the 2005/2006 Speed ββSkating World Cup, which took place on December 4, 2005 in the Dutch city ββof Heerenveen . In the women's team race with a result of 3: 03.61, their team took first place, ahead of rivals from Canada (3: 03.95 - 2nd place) and Russia (3: 04.22 - 3rd place) [7] [8] .
At the 2006 Winter Olympics, Kleinsman was announced to compete in the 3000m race and the team pursuit. In the 3000m race, she finished with a score of 4: 13.81. In general, she took 17th place [9] . In the 2400-meter team pursuit, Dutch athletes finished sixth [10] .
