Yukos asset sale

The shares of Rosneft OJSC (9.44%) and 12 promissory notes of OJSC Yuganskneftegaz (for 3.5 billion rubles) were put up for auction.

OJSC “RN - Development” won the auction on March 27, 2007 , having paid 197.840 billion rubles at an initial price of 195 billion 500 million rubles. ^[one]

The winning company is indirectly owned by Rosneft ^[2]

EniNeftegaz LLC won the auction on April 4, 2007, having paid 151.536 billion rubles (with an initial price of 144.776 billion) ^[3]

EniNeftegaz is owned by the Italian companies Eni (60%) and Enel SpA (40%).

On the same day, in an official press release, Eni announced its joint offer with Enel to Gazprom to acquire 51% of the acquired assets within 2 years as part of the Strategic Partnership concluded between the companies in November 2006 ^[4] .

The auction did not take place due to the lack of bids. Assets are included in Lot No. 14.

At the auction on April 17, 2007, Monte Valle LLC won, paying more than 3.562 billion rubles. ^[5]

Very little is known about the winning company. Its founder is a US citizen Stephen Patrick Lynch ^[6] .

Stocks of VTB Bank (Deutschland) AG are put up (7.69%)

At the auction on April 25, 2007, VTB Bank Europe plc won, paying 231.134 million rubles. ^[8]

VTB Bank Europe plc ( UK ) is a subsidiary of VTB .

The shares of Khanty-Mansiysk Bank OJSC were put up (1.998%).

At the auction on April 26, 2007 JVP Invest LLC won, having paid 333.378 million rubles. ^[9]

JVP Invest LLC ( Moscow ) is an investment company engaged in brokerage and dealer activities.

At the auction on May 3, 2007, ZAO Promregion Holding won, paying more than 4.9 billion rubles. ^[10] However, he soon refused the purchase. The property was offered for the purchase of LLC Neft-Aktiv and LLC Versar ^[11] .

On June 18, 2007, the property included in Lot No. 9 was acquired by Neft-Aktiv LLC for more than 4.9 billion rubles. ^[12]

Unitex LLC won the auction on May 10, 2007, having paid 12.464 billion rubles. (at an initial price of 7.742 billion rubles.) ^[15]

On June 26, 2007, it became known that Neft-Aktiv LLC entered into an agreement with Unitex LLC on the acquisition of a number of assets, including a retail oil products supply network and oil depot facilities in the European part and in the south of the Russian Federation. In accordance with it, Oil-Active LLC paid Unitex LLC 16.324 billion rubles for a group of enterprises that have a network of 495 gas stations and are located near oil product transshipment terminals ^[16] .

At the auction on May 11, 2007, Prana LLC won, having paid 100.092 billion rubles. (at an initial price of 22.071 billion rubles.) ^[17]

On July 2, 2007, Rosneft Oil Company announced the purchase of a number of assets from Prana LLC, which included the following enterprises: Trading House Yukos-M LLC, Yukos Exploration & Production CJSC, and Yukos Refining and CJSC Marketing ”, YUKOS-M CJSC, YUKOS-Financial and Accounting Center LLC, YUKOS-Moscow LLC, Dubininskoye LLC. The purchase price was not disclosed ^[18] .

At the auction on May 16, 2007, OOO Neft-Aktiv won, having paid 1.803 billion rubles. (initial price - more than 1.699 billion rubles.) ^[19]

Shares of Commercial Bank Solidarity OJSC were put up .

LLC “CenterInvest Trading” won the auction on June 7, 2007, having paid 204.61 million rubles. (initial price - 162.386 million rubles) ^[20]

Rosneft OAO won the auction on July 12, 2007, having paid 5.848 billion rubles (initial price - 5.733 billion rubles) ^[21]

At the auction on August 8, 2007, OAO NK Rosneft won, paying 18.576 billion rubles (initial price - 18.484 billion rubles) ^[22] .

At an auction on August 15, 2007, 100% of the shares of YUKOS's foreign subsidiary YUKOS FINANCE BV ( Netherlands ) were sold .

The winner was Promneftstroy LLC , which paid 7.838 billion rubles at an initial price of 7.598 billion rubles ^[23] .

The winning company as of July 30, 2007 was an affiliate of Rosneft ^[24] . However, after the auction, the owner of Monte Valle LLC, Stephen Lynch, explained that his company had recently acquired Promneftstroy from Rosneft specifically for participation in this auction. ^[25]

On October 31, the sale of Yukos Finance was declared invalid by an Amsterdam court. ^[26]

On January 18, 2019, the Netherlands Supreme Court in final jurisdiction recognized that the bankruptcy of the Yukos oil company by the Russian authorities in 2007 was unlawful. It follows from the court decision that the recognition of OJSC NK Yukos as bankrupt by the Moscow Arbitration Court in 2006 will not be taken into account in the Netherlands, which means that the results of the auction for the sale of the shares of the Dutch structure of Yukos Yukos Finance BV in favor of Promneftstroy LLC will not be recognized " ^[27] .

At the last auction, held on August 15, 2007, the assignment of the rights of claim of Yukos (the company's receivables ) was sold. The total amount amounted to 13.723 billion rubles. The established initial price is 11.499 billion rubles. ^[28]

The winner of the auction was Rosneft OJSC , which offered 11.555 billion rubles. ^[29]

In early 2005, Group Menatep sold its 50% stake to Fosagro.
