Biography
Born December 11, 1933 in Odessa in the family of Vladimir Alexandrovich and Antonina Nikanorovna Sychev.
After graduating from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 1957 with a degree in thermal physics, he continued to work in it as an engineer (1957-1960). Then he moved to the Institute of High Temperatures of the USSR Academy of Sciences (now the Joint Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences ), where he worked as a researcher from 1960 to 1974, and from 1963 he was deputy director for scientific work. Then Sychev worked as the director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Metrological Service (1974-1977) and the director of the All-Union Scientific and Technical Information Center (1977-1979).
From 1979 to 1983 he worked as deputy chairman of the USSR State Committee for Science and Technology; in 1983-1991 he was secretary of the CMEA .
Since 1974, he headed the Department of “Theoretical Foundations of Heat Engineering” at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, where he taught. [2] Over the years, he has authored more than 200 publications, including monographs and books that have survived many publications: [1] [2]

He is a full member of the Academy of Creativity (Moscow), the Academy of Technological Sciences of the Russian Federation and the Academy of Electrotechnical Sciences of the Russian Federation, a member of the expert council of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Dissertation Council of MPEI. Merit
For his scientific work, Vyacheslav Vladimirovich Sychev twice won the USSR State Prize (1976, 1988), the State Prize of the Russian Federation (1996), twice the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation (2008, 2010), as well as the Prize to them. I. I. Polzunov of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1984), Prizes and medals to them. J. W. Gibbs Academy of Creativity (1993). He was awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples (1983) and medals.
