Talkas ( Bashk. Talҡaҫ ) is a health resort in the Baymak district of Bashkortostan .
Located on the shore of the lake. Talkas (hence the name of the sanatorium) at the western slope of the Irendek ridge. 4 km to the south-east, the village of Tubinsky , 1 km to the village of Isyanovo , 31 km to the north - the city of Baymak , 71 km to the north-west - railway. Art. Shibai .
It was opened in 1931 as a recreation center of the Tubinsky mine, since 1933 a recreation center, since 1956 a recreation center "Baymaksky", since 2005 its modern name [1] . At the end of 2015, the Talkas sanatorium hosted the opening of the Writers 'Creative House - the Writers' Union of the Republic of Belarus [2] .
The main therapeutic factors: climate, mineral bath water (calcium-magnesium bicarbonate with a mineralization of 0.29 g / l). Balneotherapy, hirudotherapy, mud therapy, acupuncture, koumiss therapy, physiotherapy are used; there is a pool with cascading showers, a bathhouse, and others. Profile: diseases of the musculoskeletal system, diseases of the genitourinary system, diseases of the nervous system, metabolic diseases, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, respiratory diseases.
The climate is continental, winters are moderately cold (average January temperature −17 ° C), summers are warm (average July temperature 17 ° C).
The year-round sanatorium is designed for 300 beds (in summer) and 126 (in winter).
