Biography

Born on July 24, 1916 in the village of Sarybash, Nukhinsky district, Elizavetpol province (now the Kakh region of Azerbaijan).

Member of the Great Patriotic War.

Since 1932, shepherd, senior shepherd, head of a sheep-breeding farm number 3 of the collective farm "26 Baku commissars" Kakh district. In 1958, Suleiman Hamzayev received 122 lambs from every hundred ewes. In 1970, 60 tons of wool were sheared off the collective farm from sheep, in 1971 - 65 tons, and in 1972 - 75 tons. In the spring run-up rune of 1973, a farm team led by S. Gamzayev trimmed 6,500 kilograms of wool from sheep, trimmed 3.2 kilograms of wool from each sheep and received 106 lambs from 100 sheep.

Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated November 21, 1958 for outstanding achievements in the development of sheep breeding and increase in wool production, Gamzaev Suleiman Mamezh oglu was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Sickle and Hammer gold medal.

He actively participated in the public life of Azerbaijan. Member of the CPSU since 1945 .

He died on November 16, 1974 in the village of Sarybash, Kakh district.
