Zhaksy-Arganaty is a mountain in northwestern Tarbagatai , on the territory of the Tarbagatai region of the East Kazakhstan region , between the rivers Zhalanash and Tymyrsyk. The length from west to east is 15-18 km, a width of 12 km, an absolute height of 1609 m. It is composed of shales , limestones , gneisses . The northern slope is divided by river valleys, the southern slope is flat. Black earth soils are deposited on the slopes of the mountain; grow birch, poplar.
