Sputnik is a Russian football club from the city of Kimry . It was founded in 1935 and represented the Savyolovsky Machine-Building Plant . He played first at the city level, and since 1950, in the first group of the Kalinin region football championship under the names “Wings of the Soviets”, “Zenith”, “Machine-Building Plant”, “Labor” and “Sputnik” .

Content
History
In 1989, the club took 3rd place in the tournament of clubs "Non-Black Earth" and received the right to play in the KFK tournament. In 1990, he took part in the championship of the KFK of the RSFSR and took 5th place out of 12 in the tournament of the “Center” zone. The following year, the team performed more successfully in the same tournament, having won in 1 subgroup of the “Center” zone among 16 teams, and then in the final all-Russian tournament took the final third place. This allowed the team to enter the second league in 1992, in which the club took 15th place. In the 1993 championship, Sputnik starred after 7 games.
