Biography

Club career

Pupil of the club " Alahuelense ". He made his debut in the Costa Rican Championship on May 9, 1999 in the match against Herediano . In the 2000/01 season, he played on loan for the Universidad de Costa Rica club in the second division, and in the 2001/02 season for the Perez-Celedon club in the top division. Since 2002, he returned to Alahuelens and won two league titles with his team. In 2005 he suffered a knee injury, because she missed the next season.

In 2006-2009, he played for Deportivo Saprissa , three times in a row became the champion of Costa Rica. In the spring season of 2008, he became the top scorer of the championship (13 goals). He left the team due to the fact that the club did not agree with his demands for salary [1] .

He spent the 2009/10 season at the Liberia Miya [2] club, then four more seasons he played for Alahuelense and became the champion of the country with this club. In the interim, in 2012, he played in the Guatemalan championship for Shelah [3] .

At the end of his career, he played for the Perez-Celedon, Uruguay de Coronado and Carmelita clubs. Since 2017, he has performed in the lower divisions for the Desamparados and Escasousenia clubs.

In the championships of Costa Rica, he scored over 130 goals in his career (taking into account play-off tournaments - 147 goals) [4] .

Career in the national team

He made his debut in the national team of Costa Rica on February 15, 2003 in the game against Nicaragua [5] as part of the Cup of Nations of Central America , Costa Rica became the winner of these competitions. Having played three matches in 2003, the forward then did not summon to the national team for five years.

In 2008 he returned to the national team. March 26, 2008 in a friendly match against Peru (1: 3) scored his first goal for the national team [6] . He also became the author of two goals in the qualifying matches of the 2010 World Cup at the gates of Suriname and Haiti . In 2009, he participated in the matches of the Cup of Nations of Central America and became a finalist of the tournament.

In total for the Costa Rican national team in 2003-2009, he played 15 matches and scored three goals.

In addition, he played for the national team in futsal . Participant in the 2000 World Cup final tournament.
