Biography
In 1972 he graduated from the Kiev Suvorov Military School . In 1978, he graduated from Omsk Higher Combined Arms Command School .
He served in special forces in the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany, where he commanded an intelligence battalion in the Turkestan military district .
In 1988, he graduated from the Military Academy of Armored Forces and continued to serve in the following positions: chief of staff of the regiment of the Marine Corps of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet), commander of the regiment, chief of staff of the division of the Marine Corps, deputy chief of coastal forces of the Pacific Fleet, chief of staff of the coastal forces, deputy commander of the group forces and troops of the Northeast along the coastal troops.
Since August 2002 - Chief of the Ground and Coastal Forces of the Pacific Fleet.
January 5, 2005, by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation - appointed chief of coastal forces of the Navy.
Since 2010, he is a senior researcher at the Research Institute of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation .
From September 1, 2016 to 2018, he was the director of the Naval Navigation School, Moscow [2] .
