The album Boso was released by Zakopower after a relatively long break - the previous studio album Na siedem was released 4 years earlier, in 2007 [5] [9] . The new album was recorded at the recording studio located in Blyakhovna - in the suburban areas of Czestochowa [2] [4] .

The sound of the new Zakopower disc, unlike the previous works of the group, has undergone some changes - it has become more saturated with elements of rock music . At the same time, the base of the sound of the Boso album was still [1] . In the tracks of the new album, among other things, there are also melodies and themes that send the listener to jazz , reggae and ska , and the song “Kropla”, for example, was created according to all the canons of the pop music genre [10] . The Boso album presents the same variety of musical instruments as on previous recordings: the tracks use the violins inherent in Polish folklore, viola and Podhale bass ; rock-specific electric guitars , bass and drums ; jazz saxophone , as well as a synthesizer associated primarily with electronic music . The author of all music and the producer of the album is . Together with his son Marek Pospeshalsky, he recorded parts of saxophones, clarinets and other instruments [1] [5] .

The themes of the songs on the Boso album are both philosophical reflections on the transience of human life and on the issues of choosing a life path, as well as descriptions of completely prosaic problems, for example, such as “when a conversation is not glued ...”. Words are written for one part of the songs in Podhale dialect , for the other - in the Polish literary language . The main songwriters again became and Bartolomew Kudasik [1] [5] .

According to the participants of Zakopower, in the process of recording a new album, the band’s musicians tried to reproduce in the studio the energy, spontaneity and improvisation that are characteristic of concert performances and are possible only when all the players play together. For this, the songs from the album were thoroughly finalized before the recording. Joint revision took place first at rehearsals, and then at concerts. At the same time, each of the Zakopower musicians participated in the creation of the song arrangements . The members of the group exchanged ideas, offered and tried different versions of the parts of their instruments, made various additions to the compositions, or, on the contrary, removed unnecessary, in their opinion, fragments from them. Thus, the development of songs proceeded from rehearsal to rehearsal and from concert to concert thanks to the joint efforts of all Zakopower musicians. As soon as the composition took on a “perfect look”, the musicians gathered in the studio and recorded it all together, trying to reproduce the conditions of the concert performance. According to Zakopower participants, such a sound could not have been achieved if each musician played only what the composer composed and recorded the parts of his instrument in the studio separately from other members of the collective [5] [9] .
