Biography
Alla Nikolaevna Boyko was born in 1921 in the village of Konstantinovskaya in the Krasnodar Territory. In 1947, she successfully graduated from Rostov State Medical University (now Rostov State Medical University). In 1948-1949 she worked as a resident doctor in the emergency hospital №2 of the city of Rostov-on-Don.
In 1949-1952, she studied at the Clinical Residency in Pediatrics at the Rostov Regional Pediatric Research Institute. Since 1952, she worked as an assistant in the department of hospital pediatrics at the Rostov State Medical Institute.
In 1957 she defended her thesis on the topic: “Biolectric activity of the brain under certain influences leading to experimental pneumonia.” From 1965 to 1983 she headed the department of faculty pediatrics. In 1981, the department was transformed into the department of childhood diseases No. 2 [1] .
In 1971 she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Some aspects of functional disorders in children with bronchial asthma” (supervisor Professor Viktor Davydov [2] ). Has a doctorate in medical sciences and the title of professor.
At one time in Rostov-on-Don, at the initiative of A.N. Boyko, a children's allergological service was created.
Research interests: allergic diseases in children, pediatric broncho-pulmonary and cardiovascular pathology. She proposed methods for diagnosing and treating bronchial asthma in children.
Professor A. N. Boyko has authored about 130 scientific papers, including 9 teaching aids, and has written the book “Diseases of the respiratory system of children.”
Under the direction of A.N. Boyko, 4 candidate dissertations were prepared and defended, 60 clinical residents were trained.
