Biography
Pupil of Dzerzhinsky football. For the first time, he joined the adult team “ Chemist ” at the age of 15 as a reserve goalkeeper. The first official matches for the team played in 1977 in the second league . Passed military service, speaking for the team of the Moscow military district, then returned to Dzerzhinsk. In the 1980s, he was the main goalkeeper of Khimik, in all he played 367 matches in the championships of the USSR, and taking into account cup and friendly matches - about 500. In some matches he went out as a field player, and in one of the games, away from Kazan against Rubin , became the author of the goal. In 1988, he was awarded the title " Master of Sports of the USSR " as a footballer who played 10 seasons and 300 matches in the team of masters. He completed his playing career in 1990.
In 1992, he became an assistant to the head coach of the Tver “Volga” at the invitation of his army teammate Viktor Arzhanikh. In 1993, he became the club’s head coach and coached the Volga for two and a half seasons. Under his leadership, the team in the 1994/95 Cup of Russia won four matches and reached the 1/16 finals, where they lost to Dynamo Moscow .
In 1996-1997, the coach headed the native club - Dzerzhinsky “Chemist”. Then he worked outside football for several years. In 2008, he became a coach of the goalkeepers of the Nizhny Novgorod Volga , where he spent five years. As of 2015, he was a coach of goalkeepers Dzerzhinsky "Chemist". As of 2018, he works at the Salyut youth sports school (Dzerzhinsk) [1] .
He graduated from the Moscow Regional State Institute of Physical Culture (1988).
Personal life
He has two sons and two daughters.
Father, Lev Ivanovich (born 1934) was also a footballer, playing the position of striker for the teams of Dzerzhinsk and Gorky.
