Kurbanmurad Bazarbayevich Nepesov , also known by the nicknames "Basmach" , "Turkmen" , and Turkm. Gurbanmurad Nepesov , 1969-1992) - Armenian fidai of Turkmen origin, a participant in the Karabakh war , who fought as part of the Air Vahan jokat [1] . He was posthumously awarded the Medal of the Republic of Armenia "For Courage" (2009) [2] . The only Muslim buried in the Yerablur military cemetery [3] .

Biography
Born in 1969 in the Kalininsky district of the Turkmen SSR (now the Boldumsaz etrap ). He served in Afghanistan, where he was injured.
Participation in the Karabakh war
After the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, Nepesov was transferred to service in the Armenian SSR , later in the NKAR , where Nepesov decided to join the Armenian detachments. Since the foundation in 1991 of Volodya Avetisyan of the “Air Vahan” volunteer detachment, Kurbanmurad Nepesov has joined its ranks, where many Yezidis, Russians, Assyrians and Greeks also fight. During the war, it becomes known as Basmach or Turkmen [3] .
In 1992, the Air Vahn detachment received another military task - to occupy the village of Agdaban in the Kelbeger district. Nepesov penetrates to the rear of the enemy, collects information, thanks to which the detachment under the command of the future major general of the Armed Forces NKR Zory Gasparyan succeeds in destroying 6 enemy tanks and occupying the village of Agdaban [3] .
Dies on December 13, 1992 during a hard fight. After the death, the decision is made to bury Nepesov at the Yerablur military cemetery on the outskirts of Yerevan [3] .
