Kilinios [1] ( Greek Κυλλήνιος κόλπος ) is a large open bay of the Ionian Sea in Greece , in the north-west of the Peloponnese . In the north-east, it starts from Cape Araxos [1] near the village of the same name , in the south ends with Cape Kilini on the peninsula of the same name near the village of the same name .

In ancient times, the Pignos River flowed into the bay, which changed its course due to drifts. Near the coast is Lake Kotihi .
