Biography
Born on November 15, 1928 in the village of Kala, Baku district of the Azerbaijan SSR (now the village of Kala in the Khazar district of Baku).
Since 1945, a boiler operator, since 1959 a boiler operator foreman, later a senior foreman at the October Revolution Baku Car Repair Plant. The team led by Balaev was one of the first to fulfill the plan of 1973 and 1974 and the IX Five-Year Plan ahead of schedule in May 1974.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 16, 1974 , for outstanding achievements in fulfilling and overfulfilling the 1973 plans and assumed socialist obligations, Balaev Gambar Bayramovich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal " Hammer and Sickle ."
He actively participated in the public life of Azerbaijan. Member of the CPSU since 1955 . Member of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR of the 7th and 8th convocation. The delegate of the XXVI Congress of the CPSU and XXX Congress of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan.
