Fadil Ferati ( May 10, 1960 - January 30, 2010 ) - Kosovo politician. He was the mayor of Istok and the vice president of the Democratic League of Kosovo , widely known as a politician who never lost the election [2] .

Biography
Born in Istog . Ferati graduated from elementary school in Gurrakots, Istok municipality; high school - in a gymnasium in Istok He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Pristina in 1985.
After graduation, he worked as an accountant in a private enterprise from 1988 to 1990. He was the main supporter of the legalization of political pluralism in the former Yugoslavia and the creation of the Democratic League of Kosovo (DLK) and the formation of its structure in the municipality. In the early 1990s, with the creation of the presidency of the Gurrakots DLK Asset, he was elected a member until 1992. In the second election held in June 1992, he was elected chairman of the DLK Asset Gurrakots and a member of the Presidium of the DLK branch at the municipal level. In the second regular Assembly, he was elected chairman of the Presidium of the Council and municipal finance and worked there from 1995 until the end of the war, when the Council ceased to work.
At the third DLK Assembly, held in September 1997, he was elected Chairman of the Presidium of the LDK in Istok Municipality, and at the fourth Assembly of the DLK, he was elected as Chairman of the DLK of Istok Municipality and a member of the General Council of the DLK.
After the intervention of NATO forces, the creation of the International Civil Administration, and the mediation agreement on the formation of interim institutions of Kosovo under the leadership of the International Administration, whether central or local, in December 1999, he participated in the Istoga municipal council elections until 2000. After the victory of the Liberal Democratic Party in these elections at the Constituent Assembly of the Municipal Assembly in Istok, by majority vote, it is elected as the chairman of the Assembly of Istok municipality, and in the local elections held on October 26 he was again elected chairman of the Istog municipality. In 2005, he was re-elected as chairman of the Presidium of the DLK branch in Istoga, and also became a member of the National Presidency of the DLK and a member of the General Council of the DLK.
In 2006, he was elected deputy chairman of the DLK, which he held until he died on January 30, 2010 [4] [5] .
Also during the 2007 elections, he was elected by direct vote of citizens as the mayor of Istok. He held this position until he died in January 2010.
Fadil Ferati was married to Drit and had three children named Ilir, Besa, Triumph.
