Sysoev, Vladimir Ivanovich (rector)

Vladimir Ivanovich Sysoev ( April 11, 1940 , Voronezh - October 23, 2011 , Voronezh ) is a Soviet and Russian basketball coach and teacher . Honored trainer of the RSFSR (1974). Rector of the Voronezh State Institute of Physical Culture (1997–2011). Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences (1990). Professor (2000).

Biography

Vladimir Ivanovich Sysoev was born on April 11, 1940 in Voronezh in the family of a geologist. From 1957 to 1964 he was a member of the RSFSR basketball team.

In 1961 he graduated from the Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute . From 1960 to 1982, Vladimir Ivanovich worked as a senior lecturer at the Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute and the Voronezh Civil Engineering Institute . At the same time, he was the senior coach of the women's regional basketball team. From 1969 to 1974 he was the coach of the women's team of the RSFSR.

In 1982 he moved to the Voronezh State Institute of Physical Culture , where he created the department of sports games, and remained its head for many years.

In 1990 he defended his thesis on the topic "The relationship of speed-strength training and the effectiveness of the game actions of qualified basketball players" [1] .

From 1997 to 2006, he was the director of the All-Russian State Institute of Physics and Technology at the Moscow State Pharmaceutical University;

In August 2000, he established the Voronezh Regional Olympic Academy, which remained president until 2011. He was a full member of Peter the Great Academy of Sciences and Arts (2006).

In 2003, on his initiative, the women's basketball club Voronezh-SKIF was organized. In it, Vladimir Ivanovich worked as a coach and was president until his death.

Over the years Sysoev prepared 5 candidates of pedagogical sciences, 15 masters of sports in basketball.

He died on October 23, 2011 in Voronezh [2] [3] [4] .
