Baybokoum [1] , Baibokum [2] ( fr. Baïbokoum ) is a city and sub-prefecture in Chad , located in the Eastern Logon region . The administrative center of the department of Mont de Lam .

Geographical position
The city is located in the southwestern part of Chad, south of the West Logon River , at an altitude of 557 meters above sea level [3] . The settlement is located at a distance of approximately 484 kilometers to the south-southeast (SSE) of the country's capital N'Djamena .
Population
According to the official census of 2009, the population of Baybokum was 18,685 people (9,294 men and 9,391 women). The population of the sub-prefecture in the age range was distributed as follows: 51.2% - residents under 15 years old, 45.4% - between 15 and 59 years old and 3.4% - aged 60 years and older [4] .
