Biography

Leonid Bogolyubov graduated from the History Department of Moscow State University in 1953. In 1984 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences . Since 1988 - professor.

Full member of the Russian Academy of Education since 2001 (corresponding member since 1995, Department of General Secondary Education), head of the social science laboratory of the Institute of General Secondary Education of the Russian Academy of Education.

Research interests: problems of social and humanitarian education at school.

The author of more than 90 textbooks, teaching aids and methodological literature on social studies for a comprehensive school .
