Ann Martin Greybil ( Ann Martin Graybiel , born January 25, 1942, ) is an American scientist in the field of neuroscience, a pioneer in basal ganglia research. Institute professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a member of the National Academy of Sciences (1988) and the Medical Academy (1994) of the USA, as well as the American Philosophical Society (2016). Awarded the National Scientific Medal (2001), winner of the Kavli Prizes (2012) [2] and Gruber (2018).

Biography
She graduated from Magna cum Laude Harvard University (Bachelor of Biology and Chemistry, 1964); adopted in Phi Beta Kappa . In 1965-1966 as a fello named after Woodrow Wilson, she studied at the Department of Biology at Tufts University, where in 1966 she received a Master of Biology degree. She received a Ph.D. in psychology and brain science in 1971 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the department of brain psychology and science.
Since 1971, he has been working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, since 1973 Assistant Professor, since 1976 Associate Professor of Psychology, since 1980 Professor at the Department of Psychology, since 1983 Professor at the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, at the same time since 2001 Fellow of his Institute brain ( ), since 2008 Institute Professor . In 1986-1988 also worked at Harvard Medical School.
Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a foreign member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Literature (2012).
Among her awards is also (2005).
Honorary Doctor of Tufts University (2005), Hebrew University of Jerusalem and University of Queens at Belfast (the latter since 2007).
