Thyrotoxic adenoma

Thyrotoxic adenoma is a disease that is characterized by elevated levels of thyroid hormones in blood plasma. It is caused by the presence of an adenoma (node) of the thyroid gland. It is caused by excessive secretion of the noted hormones, hypoplasia with a decrease in the function of the remaining thyroid tissue.
