"The continents of my planet" is the thirteenth album of the leg "Leg Svelo!" , Which was released on October 13, 2017 on the radio " Komsomolskaya Pravda " ^[2] , the first concert performances of the album took place on October 26 of the same year in Moscow ^[3] and October 29 in St. Petersburg ^[4] . It also included three remixes of tracks that became hits in previously released albums - Games with Fire ^{[clips 1]} , Sudak ^{[clips 2]} , Continents of My Planet ^{[clips 3]} ^[1] . A video in support of the album was filmed for these songs.

Content

Creation History

Encouraged by the success of the singles “Russian Alphabet” and “Games with Fire”, published in 2016, Maxim Pokrovsky decides to release a new album, which is being finalized in New York . A part of the video game “Games with Fire” is also filmed there. In fact, this work tells how a musician spent the last few years of his life, constantly traveling from one continent to another. The second part of the video is shot at one of the Moscow concerts. The director of the installation is Mikhail Veksel. The premiere of the new video took place on June 19, 2017.

In the summer of 2017, in support of the track “Sudak” recorded for the album, the video blog “SUDACK TV” begins on the group’s Youtube channel, which consists of sketches from the daily life of Maxim Pokrovsky, videos from the band’s tours and rehearsals, and excerpts from concerts. During September 2017, the group releases two clips for the song “Sudak” and a new video for the single “Cheesecakes” (dir. Mikhail Veksel), which is presented as “Song about a crazy world and crazy love for him, about a strange and, at the same time, time, admiring the attitude to what is happening around us all. "

The premiere of the last video for the title song of the album “Continents of my planet” took place on January 22, 2018 on the TV channel Rain . The clip was directed by Maxim Pokrovsky himself, producer of Frea King. The clip was shot in August 2017 on Fire Island ( New York State ).

Criticism

The album received mixed reviews from critics and online publishers. The reviewer of rockcult.ru noted in the album both the presence of an experimental beginning and the average level of the album’s concept, related to the general style of the album, which was knocked out of the line of the band “Legs Down!” And the inclusion of remixes of earlier songs ^[5] . At the same time, Intermedia.ru notes that the “rejuvenation” of the songs went to the group and Maxim Pokrovsky only to the advantage ^[5] , although the publication itself warns of the presence of profanity in the album.
