Since 1942, cellist of the Székesfehervár Orchestra, since 1951 in the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. In 1952 , he replaced Vera Denesh in the Quartet of Tatrai , one of the leading chamber ensembles in post-war Hungary, and in 1958, as a member of the quartet, he was awarded the Kossuth Prize , Hungary's highest cultural award. In 1948 - 1995 Lecturer at the Budapest Academy of Music .
