On November 9, 1909, the son of Boris was born into the family of a peasant in the village of Cherkutino Malyutov Mikhail Nikolaevich. In 1919, his father died, and mother Anna Vasilievna was left with three young children, of whom Boris was the eldest. The situation of the family was very difficult: she didn’t even have her own housing, but lived in an empty house provided to her by the executive committee. Both mother and young children were forced to work for hire at various daily work in the village.

After leaving school in 1922, Boris had to work first as a boy with a leather merchant, and then as a dishwasher and waiter in the tea village of Cherkutino.

He graduated from the Higher School of Civil Engineering (1932), a special course of engineering and tactical training at the Military Engineering Academy (1933).

Since June 1932, adjunct of the Moscow Military Engineering Academy of the Red Army. Since March 1933, an engineer at the station of the RKKA research and testing ground. From March 1935, a senior engineer, from November 1937, the head of the crossing and bridge department of the Research Institute of Engineering Engineering.

Member of the Great Patriotic War from February 1942 to October 1943: Western, North-Western, Stalingrad, Kalinin and 2nd Ukrainian fronts, consultant on the manufacture of wooden bridge parks, on the preparation of crossing facilities and on the construction of high-water bridges. In October 1943, he was a representative of the chief of the engineering forces of the spacecraft to help ensure the crossing of the Dnieper with improvised crossings, lieutenant colonel. He was seriously wounded in the head and shell-shocked.

  • since November 1969, member of the Special Arms Committee of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the General Staff.

Dismissed from active duty in February 1970.

Candidate of Technical Sciences (1945), Senior Researcher (1947). Specialist in nuclear weapons test engineering. The author of more than 40 publications and inventions.

Twice winner of the Stalin Prize, 2nd degree (1951, 1953). He was awarded the orders of Lenin (1949, 1954), the Red Banner (1953), Suvorov 3 tbsp. (1943), World War 1 Art. (1985), Red Banner of Labor (1943, 1962), Red Star (1947) and medals.

He was buried at Kuntsevsky cemetery .
