Bernadskaya, Nina Ivanovna

Nina Ivanovna Bernadskaya (born May 18, 1959 in Teofipol ) is a Soviet and Ukrainian philologist, doctor of philological sciences, professor of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv , an expert on the theory of novel and Ukrainian literature of the twentieth century.

Biography

Born May 18, 1959 in the city of Teofipol, Khmelnitsky region . She graduated from high school number 1 in Krasilov . In 1981 she graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Kiev University with a degree in Philology, Teacher of Ukrainian Language and Literature. During 1981-1984 she studied at graduate school, in 1986 she defended her thesis "Ideological and artistic function of temporary displacements in the composition of the modern novel."

Since 1984 he has been working at Taras Shevchenko University of Kiev [1] . During 1991-2001, she was an assistant professor at the Department of Theory of Literature and Comparative Studies, in 1998-2001 she was deputy dean of the Faculty of Philology, and in 2001-2004, she was a doctoral candidate at the Department of Theory of Literature and Comparative Studies.

In 2006 she defended her doctoral dissertation "Theory of the novel as a genre in Ukrainian literary criticism." He teaches courses: “Introduction to Literary Studies”, “Theory of Literature”, “Genres of Literary Criticism”, “Large Epic Form”, “Literary Criticism of the 20th and 21st Centuries”.

The author of more than 50 scientific papers and manuals [2] .
