Biography and Activities
A. A. Belogolovy is one of the students and followers of the academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences G.P. Perederii [1] . In the 1930s, he worked on building bridges in Moscow and Rybinsk , and participated in the construction of the Moscow Canal [2] [3] [4] .
Author of arch- reinforced concrete projects of the Khimki railway bridge across the Moscow Canal (1935), Khoroshevsky arch bridge (architect I. S. Fridlyand , 1938) [2] [3] . In 1937 he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor for work on the construction of the Moscow Canal [5] .
In the late 1930s, he worked on the project of the Rybinsk city bridge (together with A.P. Petrov , architect D. B. Savitsky ) (1939) [4] .
He participated in the Great Patriotic War , fought in the 1st Bridge Reconstruction Unit of the Main Directorate of Military Restoration Work of the People's Commissariat of Railways with the rank of colonel . He was awarded the medal "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" [6] .

Legacy
The construction of the Rybinsk bridge was postponed due to the construction of the Rybinsk hydroelectric station and the events of World War II and was completed in 1963 [7] .
The arch reinforced concrete designed by A. A. Belogolov, the Khoroshevsky and Khimki railway bridges are still in operation today [8] .
