Biography
He studied at Yale University, played for the university's hockey team for four years. He also played football and lacrosse, in all three sports he was the goalkeeper. Defended the gates of the St. Nicholas amateur club.
As a member of the US hockey team, he spent six matches at the 1932 Lake Placid Winter Olympic Games tournament and became the silver medalist of the Games.
After a career as an amateur player, Farrell went into family business, becoming president of Farrel Corporation in 1955. In 1969, he became Executive Vice President of USM Corporation .
