Klaus Hungblut Rodriguez ( Spanish: Klaus Jungbluth Rodriguez ; January 10, 1979 , Guayaquil ) is an Ecuadorian skier . The first representative of Ecuador at the Winter Olympics [1] .

In 2016, Hungblut took the initiative and received assistance from the Ecuadorian National Olympic Committee to establish the Ecuadorian Ski Federation .
On January 19, 2018, Rodriguez was selected as the flag bearer of the country during the opening ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics , as the only athlete in the national delegation of Ecuador at the games .
Klaus lives and trains in Mountain Creek , Queensland , Australia [2] .
