History
According to local legend, the appearance of Kreans is associated with the death on the coast of the English Channel in the early Middle Ages of the Portuguese ship. Sailors and their wives landed on the swampy shore and founded a settlement. This explains the substantial difference between the local population and the descendants of the Normans in neighboring villages. They spoke their own language, their women dressed in black clothes, many residents had matte skin, black eyes and brown hair. However, no evidence of this story exists.
From the 90s of the 20th century, Creans began to gain popularity as a seaside resort. The local sandy beach “Printania” attracts tourists both locally and from neighboring Netherlands and Germany.
