Frederick Aldrich ( born Frederick Aldrich ; May 1, 1927 - July 12, 1991) is an American marine biologist. Bachelor of Arts , Ph.D, Professor. Best known for studying giant squid .

Born in New Jersey. He visited Rutgers University , where he became a doctor of sciences [2] [3] .
In 1961 he began working as an associate professor at the Memorial University of Newfoundland ( en: Memorial University of Newfoundland ).
From 1990 to the end of his life, he was a professor of marine biology.
The species Australiteuthis aldrichi [4] , a small squid, is named after him.
